Melissa is the founder and nurse practitioner leading clinical care at Umber Health. Her work focuses on individualized hormone care, metabolic health, functional medicine, sexual wellness, medical weight management, and longevity-focused care for adults.
Education and Credentials
Family Nurse Practitioner certification and current state license. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. ABAAHP certification. FAAMFM fellowship training through A4M.
Approach to Care
Melissa uses a stepwise approach. She reviews the full clinical picture, identifies the findings most likely to matter, and explains the reason behind each recommendation. Care changes according to response, new information, and follow-up.
Telehealth Care Across Florida
Melissa provides telehealth care to eligible adults located in Miami and throughout Florida. Laboratory testing is coordinated through local third-party locations, and prescriptions are provided only when clinically appropriate and legally permitted.

I practice independently. I do not work under a supervising physician. I am registered with the Florida Board of Nursing for autonomous practice. Care is still limited to what Florida allows for that registration.
